BEDS IDENTIFIED AT UHG FOR A and E TROLLEY PATIENTS

There was severe overcrowding at the A&E department at University Hospital Galway earlier today.
According to figures from the Irish Nurses Organisation there were 32 people on trolleys at one point today awaiting admission to the hospital from casualty.
A spokesperson for HSE West says that beds have been identified for all overnight patients from last night.
The spokesperson told Galway Bay fm News there are a small number of patients from today awaiting beds but they expect that they will have beds for them this evening.
