Beating a path to annual drum show

German drummer and composer Anika Nilles will be among the guests.

The second Galway Drum Show 2020  will takes place in Galway City’s Clayton Hotel on Sunday, March 29. Ireland’s largest and liveliest drumming event will have live performances from some of the world’s greatest drummers.

This is a weekend when drummers from all over Ireland and abroad will descend on Galway to hear some of the best international and Irish artists in action.

This year’s artists are Steve White (The Style Council, Paul Weller), London jazz musician Clark Tracey, German drummers and composers Anika Nilles and Marco Minnemann, Kaz Rodriguez (The Disciples, Cirque du Soleil) and ‘the mad scientist’ Scott Pellegrom.

The Irish drumming community is very proud to have four of its own – David Dockery, Ben Wanders, Richie Dittrich and Tom Corcoran – performing on the Best of Irish stage.

The previous day, Saturday, March 28, there will be Masterclasses from 9.30am-6pm. The final of the Young Irish Drummer of the year competition will runs from 10am-2pm.
