Baroque singers in Leisureland gala

The Galway Baroque Singers will perform Puccini’s Messa di Gloria and Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor in Leisureland this Friday night, November 6.

The group will be joined by Our Lady’s Choral Society from Dublin, international soloists and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. The combined choirs, numbering more than 180 singers, will perform under the baton of the Musical Director of Our Lady’s Choral Society and RTÉ Concert Orchestra Conductor Laureate, Proinnsías Ó Duinn.

This concert is part of a celebration to mark the 70th anniversary of Our Lady’s Choral Society.

The ‘Baroques’ and their musical director Audrey Corbett are honoured to take part in this celebration, reinforcing the strong ties which the two choirs have built up over the decades.

The friendship and mutual respect between Audrey Corbett and Proinnsías Ó Duinn, in collaboration with RTÉ, has resulted in many wonderful performances over the years.

This concert was performed in the National Concert Hall on Wednesday night before coming to Leisureland this Friday. It promises to be a memorable event.
