Bank Of Ireland is to retain the two day a week self service operation in Oughterard and Dunmore

The bank introduced a self service option rather than counter cash customer desk for two days a week in the two county branches in November.

It has moved to reassure customers that it’s committed to the branches as it continues with the self service option.

In a statement to FYI Galway, Bank Of Ireland says the increased efficiency and technology improvements will allow the bank to maintain a local presence on a more cost efficient basis though a full nationwide direct bank network.
