Slovakian violin-paying brothers Vladimir and Anton Jablokov, who are both masters of the classical violin and have performed together for more than two decades, will return to Galway’s Town Hall Theatre on Thursday next, November 30.

Vladimir and Anton are known for their energetic, highly-skilled performances of Eastern European folk and popular music, infused with a classical twist.

The duo come from four generations of professional musicians with Russian roots and they now live in Ireland.

Described by the London Evening Standard as “the Nigel Kennedys of their nation”, Vladimir and Anton push their instruments and each other as they express themselves musically, alternating between joyful harmony and thrilling duels.

“Sibling rivalry sound-tracked like you have never heard it before,” is how Vladimir describes it as he looks forward to their return to the West.

“We’ve been playing in Galway for 13 years now and are so enthused and energised by the fantastic fanbase we have in the City and County,” he says, promising that those fans who are looking forward to their concert “won’t be disappointed”.
