BALLYGAR TO GET NEW SPORTING FACILITIES

People involved in GAA sport in the East of the county will have new facilities to use in Ballygar.

The Ballygar-Newbridge-Toghergar GAA Club has been granted planning permission for two full sized GAA pitches and an astroturf pitch in the townland of Killeroran.

A separate application by the Trustees of Ballygar GAA pitch to demolish the existing dressing rooms and handball alley and build nine houses in their place has also been granted outline permission.
