Ballybrit office complex gets go-ahead
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Plans for a three-storey office building in Ballybrit have been given the go-ahead.
The application from Fleetglade Limited has been approved subject to 13 conditions.
Fleetglade Limited seeks to develop a three-story office building, plant room and ESB substation.
The plan also includes car parking, signage, landscaping and lighting at a site in Ballybrit Business Park.
The proposed development will also provide pedestrian and bus set down facilities.
Of the 13 conditions attached by city planners, one states that the office building is restricted for ‘specialist office’ use which, it adds, is usually a significant scale of employment and can have a high element of processing.
Another condition states that any cranes in excess of 20 metres in height are to be agreed in writing with Galway Airport at least 30 days prior to use due to its proximity.
