A drunken man who went to his neighbour’s house brandishing a bread knife after he got annoyed with a barking dog has avoided a prison sentence

31 year old Noel Patten, 25 Beechwood Park, Ballybane, avoided prison by co-operating with the Probation Service since his first court appearance last month.
