BALLINASLOE WORKERS CLAIM LIVELIHOODS THREATENED

Workers at the Premier Proteins plant in Ballinasloe claim that Environmental Protection Agency ‘red-tape’, is threatening their livelihoods.

The EPA made a contentious decision last January to revoke the Pollution Control Licence of the company.

In a letter to Ballinasloe Town Council, the Premier Proteins employees say they agree that the plant must be operated in a manner compliant with the IPPC licence.
