BALLINASLOE TOWN COUNCIL CONSIDERS LEGAL CHALLENGE TO SLUDGE PLANT

Ballinasloe Town Council is considering mounting a legal challenge to a new sludge treatment facility planned for Poolboy.

A meeting was called last night by Mayor Pat O’Sullivan, after it was learned that An Bord Pleanala had granted planning permission for the plant.

That’s despite the town council having earlier refused permission as well as the Bord’s own inspector.
