BALLINASLOE SLUDGE TRANSFERRED TO AUGHRIM VILLAGE

A 30-hour standoff has been resolved between Ballinasloe farmer Padraig Clarke and the company N6 Construction.

Work resumed this morning on the new N6 Ballinasloe to Galway road after both sides came to a legal agreement last evening in the row over sludge disposal.

The sludge is now being transferred to a site in the village of Aughrim.
