BALLINASLOE PUBLIC TO BE SURVEYED ON FLOOD WARNINGS

The State is trying to find out how it can best warn the public in Ballinasloe of future natural disasters.

The OPW is this week distributing a questionnaire to Ballinasloe households to find out how the public percieves flood risk and the best way flood warnings should be issued.

It’s part of a wider European project called Urflood which is investigating Uncertainty and risk in Flood communications.
