BALLINASLOE GARDAI CONTINUE INVESTIGATION INTO CURAGH CAR CRASH

Gardaí in Ballinasloe are continuing to investigate a car crash which left one person in a critical condition in hospital.

The two car collision happened just after 3 am Sunday, on the main Ballinasloe to Loughrea road.

Nine people were taken to hospital following the two car crash which happened in curagh about three miles from Ballinasloe on the Loughrea road.

This evening, one person remains critical, and three are stable at Portiuncula hospital.

Five others were discharged at the weekend.

Ballinasloe Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

Meanwhile, one person remains critical at the mid western regional hospital in Limerick following a seperate crash on the Galway Clare Border.
