BALLINASLOE FARMERS LIFT N6 CONSTRUCTION BARRICADE

Farmers in Poolboy have lifted their barricade against construction work on the new N6 Ballinasloe to Galway Road.

The farmers have struck a deal with N6 Construction and Galway county council over access to approximately 100 acres of land in Poolboy.

The farmers claimed the foundation of the N6 bisecting their land was too high for animals and vehicles to cross.

Local Farmer Kevin Dolan says the farmers are happy with the outcome of negotiations with council officials and the N6 construction company.
