BALLINASLOE BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED

The Boil Water Notice – which has been in place in Ballinasloe and its surrounding areas since the November floods – has been lifted.

The county council says it has been lifted with immediate effect following an extensive programme of improvement works on the scheme.

A number of Boil Water Notices remain in place in a number of other water schemes around the county however.

Consumers of the Rosmuc Public Water Scheme and Letterfrack Public Water Scheme as well as the Mid-Galway Water Scheme are still being asked to observe the notice.

The Gort Supply is also affected by a Boil Water Notice.
