BALLINAHOWN ROAD RE-OPENS AFTER FATAL CRASH

Investigating Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following a fatal crash in Inverin last evening.

A local man in his 60s died after he was hit by a car while out walking close to Tully Church in Ballinahown at around 6:30 last evening.

He was taken to University Hospital Galway where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car was uninjured in the incident.

Forensic Collision Investigators have now completed an examination of the scene, and the stretch of road has now re-opened.
