BAIL REMAND FOR GORT MAN ON CHILD PORN CHARGE

A GORT man who appeared in court on a child pornography charge has been remanded on bail

Noel Murphy, who appeared before Ennis District Court, was arrested at his home, Number 2 Seehaun, Ballysheedy, Gort on Thursday morning.

He was detained at Gort Gort Garda Station and later charged with one count of possession of child pornography.

Evidence of arrest, charge and caution was given in court by Garda John Keating of Gort.

Following a brief appearance before the court in Ennis yesterday [ Friday] he was remanded, on his own bail, with a number of conditions, to appear again before Gort Court on Tuesday June 28th.

Among the conditions of his bail is that he signs on weekly at Gort Garda Station, does not apply for travel documents and stays away from Coole Park and Garryland Woods.
