BAIL REMAND FOR ALLEGED ORGANISED CRIME

A 30-year-old man, charged under anti-gangland legislation with being involved in organised crime in Galway, has been remanded on continuing bail to October, when a trial date will be set.

Paul Black, of Corrach Buí, Rahoon is charged that, between July 2009 and June 2010, in Galway, he participated in an activity for the purpose of enhancing the ability of a criminal organisation to commit a serious offence.

This was namely the possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
