Auction in aid of annual Galway Cartoon Festival

There will be a unique opportunity to acquire an original artwork or high-quality framed print by some of the world’s leading cartoonists at an auction next Tuesday evening, March 9, in Galway City’s Dáil Bar.

The event, hosted by Brendan Savage will begin at 8pm, upstairs in the Dáil. Framed original cartoons and unique high-quality prints by a selection of Irish and international artists including Tom Mathews, Martyn Turner, Lisa Donnelly of The New Yorker and Italy’s Marilena Nardi will be auctioned off at what the organisers say will be “bargain prices”.

There will also be a raffle with lots of prizes including t-shirts, prints and bottles of booze. All proceeds will go towards making this year’s Galway Cartoon Festival the best one yet.

The Galway Cartoon Festival will also be launching its festival friendship scheme shortly. In return for supporting the event, people will receive invitations, freebies and regular insider news.
