ATHENRY WOMAN WHO DIED IN BAREFIELD CRASH NAMED LOCALLY

The Athenry woman who died in a road crash on the M18 in Clare yesterday has been named locally as 26 year old Vicky Courtney from Castlelambert.

She lost her life after a crash on the northbound lane of the M18 at Ballyline in Barefield, near Ennis just before 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon.

The woman was due to celebrate her 27th birthday this Thursday.

A second woman travelling in the car, her mother Pamela, suffered minor injuries.
