AT LEAST THREE PEOPLE INJURED IN GALWAY DOCKS INCIDENT

At least three people have been injured in an operation at Galway docks to hoist two Aran ferries onto a cargo ship.

The ‘Thorgitta’ arrived into Galway earlier this week to replace the Pantanal which ran aground off Rossaveal last week.

It’s believed the men were aboard one of the Aran Ferries, the Clann na nOilean, while it was being hoisted onto the cargo ship.

Galway Bay fm news understands the sling broke almost turning over the cargo ship and the ferry went crashing back into the water.
