ASKING PRICES FOR COUNTY HOMES DROP 30% SINCE PEAK

Asking prices for houses in County Galway have dropped by almost 30% since their peak.

New figures released by www.daft.ie reveal that asking prices in the county have fallen by a further 2.5% in the past three months.

The average asking price for a house in the county is now €219,000.

In the city, asking prices have fallen by almost 40% since their peak with the average price now €236,000.
