Arthouse Cinema misses another deadline to remove hoarding

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The contractors working on the Picture Palace on Dock Road in the city have missed another deadline to remove the hoarding which causes a one lane traffic restriction

The hoarding was to be removed by last Friday but this did not happen and today the contractor said it’s due to be removed in the next week

The project promoters Solas have missed several deadlines regarding the removal of the hoarding, which has caused a one-lane restriction at the city centre location for a few years now

A spokesperson for JJ Rhatigan, contractors on the project, told Galway Bay fm news that the hoarding will be taken down in about a week’s time

Following its removal, the old two-way system will be reinstated

After years of project setbacks and delays the Arthouse Cinema is die to open in May next year
