A vacant unit in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre has been transformed for one week into an art exhibition with all proceeds going to local heart and stroke charity Croí.

The shopping unit and the entire collection of art by several local amateur artists have been donated ensuring that every cent raised will go to support the work of Croí.

After suffering a heart attack and subsequently undergoing a triple bypass, Jimmy Connolly has been attending the Croí rehabilitation programmes in their dedicated heart and stroke centre in Newcastle.

“This art exhibition and sale is our way of giving back to Croí for the wonderful support that we have received over the past year,” said Dolores (Jimmy’s wife).

The exhibition is taking place in the second shop unit on the left hand side as you enter from the Eyre Square Entrance and will remain open until Sunday, November 9. All art pieces are for sale and open to reasonable offers.
