ARMY BOMB DISPOSAL UNIT REMOVE DANGEROUS CHEMICAL FROM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

Army explosive experts have safely disposed of the a potentially unstable chemical at University Hospital Galway.

The jar of Nitrocellulose was discovered in a laboratory yesterday in the course of refurbishment work.

The chemical had not been used for some years and is no longer required for modern laboratory services.
