ARAN ISLANDS WATER RESTRICTIONS BECOME MORE SEVERE

Some Aran Islanders are going to experience further restrictions to the water supply.

Galway County Council says there are continuing difficulties with the water supply on Inis Meáin and Inis Oírr.

Water will come on at 11a.m and cut off at 6p.m daily, instead of 8p.m. as was the previous case.

Water restrictions also remain in place on Inis Oírr, with water supplied daily between 11a.m and 6p.m.
