Apprentice battle in Supermac’s

SUPERMAC’S in Eyre Square is to be at the centre of next week’s third programme in the new Irish television series, The Apprentice.
The series is run to the same formula as the show which has been a huge hit in the UK, where millionaire businessman Sir Alan Sugar each week whittles down the list of candidates seeking to secure a high-powered job as his apprentice until the winner is appointed, and also in the US, where tycoon Donald Trump is the boss who gets to say the show’s catchphrase: ‘You’re fired!’.
For the TV3 series, it’s Dublin entrepreneur Bill Cullen, Chairman and owner of Renault Ireland, with an annual turnover in excess of €350m, who is looking for an assistant to join him. The successful candidate will work in his organisation for 12 months, on a salary of €100,000.
