APPLICATION LODGED FOR 24 MILLION EURO EXTENSION AT GALWAY CLINIC

An application has been lodged for a 24 million euro extension to the Galway Clinic.

The plans for the new wing were submitted to Galway city Council today.

They provide for 16 new intensive care beds, 3 endoscopic theatres, 63 individual rooms, an extension to the daycare and to the laboratory.

The proposed plans were agreed following a recent meeting of the board.
