By Eanna O’Reilly
THE Backdoor GAA is a new website giving all the latest GAA news, including opinion pieces, feature articles with some big names in the hurling and Gaelic football world and much more.
Set up by Annaghdown’s Paul Shaughnessy, the podcast has been gaining some traction with its recent shows, which comprise of The Backdoor Football Show and The Backdoor Hurling Show.
The Backdoor Football Show, which comes out every Monday, consists of presenter Shaughnessy going through different topics with the show’s regular analysts which include Galway’s Finian Hanley, Dublin’s Johnny Magee, Mark McHugh of Donegal and Tipp ladies football coach Shane Ronayne.
The Backdoor Hurling Show follows a similar approach and its regular analysts include former Limerick goalkeeper Joe Quaid, Wexford’s Rory Jacob, Joe Fortune of Dublin and Kilkenny’s Kieran Joyce. Listeners can expect the football and hurling topics of the day to be discussed and debated in detail each week with some of the GAA’s most knowledgeable minds.
