ANGER OVER REFUSAL OF HOUSING GRANT TO ELDERLY CITY WOMAN

A Galway-based Senator says she will be contacting the Ombudsman, Emily O’ Reilly if the City Council doesn’t approve a housing adaptation grant for an elderly woman.

The 83 year old woman lives off the Tuam road and suffers from severe osteoporosis, arthritis and hypertension.

The City Council has refused her request for a grant under the Housing Adaptation Scheme.
