An end to Bradley’s reign?

CONNACHT’S final Magners League game of the season against the Ospreys tonight (6.30pm) could turn out to be Michael Bradley’s last game at the helm.

Speculation around Bradley’s possible move to Munster has intensified since Declan Kidney was confirmed as Ireland head coach this week.

With the westerners firmly rooted to the bottom of the table and going on this season’s results alone, many Connacht fans will be bemused with the Corkman being linked to the Munster job.

Indeed, given that he struggled to make his adopted province a consistently competitive force, already there are murmurs of discontent in Munster, and Limerick in particular, at the prospect of Bradley’s appointment.

However, according to reports in the national press his appointment as interim coach for Ireland’s match with the Barbarians and summer tour of NewZealand and Australia is imminent, which suggests that the IRFU want Bradley to move south.

Whether or not he departs for pastures new will be revealed in the coming weeks but tonight’s game against the Ospreys will be the last for a number of Connacht’s long serving players.
