ALMOST HALF CITY RESIDENTS EDUCATED TO THIRD LEVEL

Almost half of Galway city residents have been educated to third level, according to a new report published by Galway city council.

The Galway city atlas reveals that out of 45 thousand people, just over 19 thousand people have third level education.

The data, which is based on the 2006 CSO statistics, also reveals that the electoral division of Barna has the highest number people educated to third level with 2,017, while Ballybrit has the lowest with 172.
