ALMOST HALF A MILLION EURO SUBSIDY FOR AER ARANN

The contract to provide air services to the Aran islands has been extended.

Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Éamon Ó Cuív, announced that Aer Arann’s contract will be extended by 5 months.

This entails a subsidy of 487 thousand euro.

A new public service obligation competition is due to be announced by the Department of Gaeltacht Affairs shortly.
