Almost 3 thousand no-shows for Galway hospitals appointments

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Almost three thousand people failed to show up for appointments in Galway hospitals during April.
According to today’s Irish Independent, the rate of no-shows is costing the Health Service over 200 thousand euro a day.
The figures show that out of almost 22 thousand appointments in Galway hospitals throughout April, almost 2,800 failed to show up.
The highest rate of no-shows is in clinics dealing with orthopaedics, ear, nose and throat, general surgery and stomach, and digestive disorders.
