ALDI’s new store in Mountbellew set to open next week
ALDI’s brand new Mountbellew store will open on Thursday November 10th. We spoke to Store Manager Jolita Mazulyte to find out a little more about her and what shoppers can look forward to at the new store.
‘’I’ve been part of the ALDI team for 16 years, previously working in Celbridge, Rathmines, Clane, Edenderry, Tullamore, Mullingar, Athlone and Galway Knocknacarra, said Jolita.
‘’Like so many people who join ALDI, I’ve been fortunate to benefit from the career progression opportunities available. I started with ALDI as a Store Assistant in 2006, before being promoted to Deputy Store Manager in 2012, and then progressed to Assistant Store Manager in 2016.
‘’So when the opportunity arose to manage the new store in Mountbellew, ALDI’s 11th store in Galway, I knew my experience in regional towns throughout the Midlands would be of benefit. Since my first day with ALDI in 2006, I always had the ambition to open a new store.
‘’I have been living in Galway since August 2020, and my partner’s family have their roots in Tuam and Ballygar so we’re excited about what ALDI’s arrival means for the area. Households and families around Mountbellew will be able to shop at their local ALDI and enjoy our fantastic range of quality fresh produce.
‘’I am always really proud of our commitment to sourcing Irish ingredients and products at value that just won’t be beaten. Customers can look forward to an excellent shopping experience at our state-of-the-art store, built in ALDI’s award-winning ‘Project Fresh’ design.
‘’The store will continue ALDI’s commitment to the communities we serve. We will join all of ALDI’s Galway stores to donate surplus food to those who need it most through ALDI’s FoodCloud partnership. We will also be part of ALDI’s Community Grants network, providing an annual €500 bursary grant to a local charity. ‘’
ALDI Mountbellew is located on College Road and opens Thursday, November 10th.

- Monday to Friday: 9am – 10pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 9am – 9pm
