Alabama 3 set for Loughrea gig

ALABAMA 3 will be in Loughrea on Sunday December 14 to do a very special concert in aid of Ability West.

The line-up for the night is very impressive, with the likes of Republic of Loose, one of Ireland’s top live bands, and the scintillating guitar duo Túcan all to play the gig.

The Ability West charity will be hosting the Alabama 3 concert in the Loughrea Hotel at 8pm. Ongoing support makes a big difference and all proceeds for the night will assist Ability West to finance their projects.

One such project is at Whitestrand in Salthill, which involves the building of two new respite houses, one for adults and one for children, thus empowering people with an intellectual disability to fulfil their dreams and ambitions.

This event is one that comes to pass from Alabama 3’s admiration of the great work that Ability West do for people with disabilities. A friend of the Allen family, Larry Love has seen first hand the progress made by their daughter Dervla since Ability West took over as her service provider.

While acknowledging that Dervla now has an ideal situation he knows that many others have not. He is putting his weight behind this fundraiser to help Ability West expand their Respite Services to other families.

“I believe it’s really important that help is made available, these children bring so much joy to their families and communities and someone needs to be looking out for their carers too” says Larry Love.
