AIB SANCTIONS 2000 BUSINESS CREDIT REQUESTS FOR GALWAY, CLARE AND LIMERICK THIS YEAR
Date Published: 05-Nov-2012
AIB has sanctioned over two thousand one hundred business credit requests for Galway, Mayo and Clare so far this year.
That’s according to figures released by the firm covering the first nine months of this year.
The firm says that significant resources have been put into improving access to credit for small and medium enterprises and that efforts are ongoing to improve and simplify the process.
It says the perception that banks are not lending discourages many viable businesses from applying.
The bank aims to tackle this through the "Big Drive for Small Business" campaign which includes a number of new funds totalling 350 million euro such as the Job Creation Loan.
AIB’s Regional Director for the Mid-West Region is Mark Fitzharris – he says financial support is available to support viable SMEs throughout the region
