Action plan finalised following inspection at UHG pyschiatric unit

Galway Bay fm news – An action plan has been finalised following an inspection into the employee working environment at the psychiatric unit at UHG.
In May, employees at the unit contacted the Health and Safety Authority with concerns over patient and staff safety.
An inspection was then carried out.
In a statement to Galway Bay fm news, the HSE says the majority of the issues have already been implemented .
These concern furniture location and flooring.
A safety statement has also been reviewed and updated.
The executive also states that the provider of agency staff has confirmed the training which staff have received is appropriate.
Further training has commenced in the management of violence and aggression.
