A straight-talker…..and singer

Dublin based singer/songwriter Jenny Lindfors has a repertoire that stretches from acoustic songs to her own brand of personalised folk rock.

Skilled on piano and guitar, she has an ability to surprise, soothe and spoil her audience. Lindfors’ debut When The Night Time Comes is a collection of tracks that capture a rollercoaster weekend experience, complete with romantic tumbles.

“I’ve always been aware of the difference between whiney self-indulgence and touching melancholic music,” she explains. “I’ve never very good at being contrived. People know when something is a genuine expression from the heart or a crock of shit.”

The straight-talking Lindfors plays the Róisín Dubh on Saturday, January 19. Tickets are €10/€8 members. Doors 9pm
