CONNACHT are on the cusp of big things and it all could hinge on next Friday night’s clash with Leinster at the RDS.

In some ways, their entire season hung in the balance last Friday night as David Blair’s stabbed drop goal effort from 30 metres came within inches of snatching victory for Edinburgh.

If Michael Bradley’s side had lost to their fellow strugglers, the inquest would have been long lasting and the outlook for a busy November would have been bleak.

Instead, they face into a five week period of intense rugby off the back of two decent performances.

Connacht now genuinely look like a hard side to beat both home and away.

Glasgow struggled past them three weeks ago, a full strength Cardiff required the intervention of the officials to pull themselves out of a hole one week later and Edinburgh were outclassed for long periods last Friday night.
