Singer and actress Lisa Lambe will play Druid’s Mick Lally Theatre next Monday night, March 2, as part of a mini-tour that will also take in Whelan’s of Dublin, and Coughlan’s Live, Cork. The shows are to coincide with the release of her debut solo album Hiding Away.

Hiding Away was recorded in Nashville and produced by Gavin Murphy. It was mixed by Nashville’s Gary Paczosa (Allison Krauss, Dolly Parton, Harry Connick Jr, and Don Williams).

A single, Heaven, was released last month with all proceeds going towards Alone Ireland, a charity that works with older people who are homeless or living in isolation.  The Irish Times praised her “bright, warm, supple voice [which] has just a touch of grain” adding, “she is obviously at home in country-folk”.
