9 PER CENT INCREASE IN CALLS TO GALWAY SAMARITANS

Galway Samaritans responded to almost 37 thousand calls for help last year, an increase of 9 percent on the previous year.

Over three and a half thousand of these calls to the centre at Nun’s Island came from people wishing to end their life.
