9 MILLION EURO TO GALWAY UDARAS COMPANIES

Almost 9 million euro in grants was paid to Údarás-backed companies in Galway last year.

According to the Annual Report from Údarás na Gaeltachta, 39 companies, which are majority owned or part owned by Údarás, were given grant aid.

According to the report, the projected extra employment from Údarás grants approved for the Galway Gaeltacht is 236.

However, there were 35 less full-time employees working in the Údarás-assisted companies at the end of 2010 compared to the end of 2009.
