75 submissions received on draft county development plan

Galway Bay fm newsroom – 75 submissions have been received on the draft county development plan for 2015 to 2021.
The plan went on public display in March and is due to come before councillors in September.
12 submissions were received from statutory bodies on a range of issues.
These include rural housing, flooding, climate change and renewable energy.
170 submissions were also received on the proposed addition to the record of protected structures.
This was also put on public display as an appendix to the draft.
A manager’s report will now be prepared.
It’s hoped that report will come before the new county council at its September meeting.
