More than 70 properties on offer in two-part auction
O’Donnellan & Joyce are bringing more than 70 properties for sale in its ‘Wild Atlantic Way’ All Day Summer Auction, which will be held on Friday week, July 21, including a range of residences in the Newcastle area of Galway City.
The auction will begin at noon sharp for the early session, and 3pm for the afternoon session. Registration is open from 11am for the morning session and 2pm for the afternoon session, and both events will be held in the Harbour Hotel on New Dock Road.
The first property available in Newcastle is at 17 Newcastle Park, a 4-bed semi-detached home which offers a playroom with an ensuite that can be easily changed to a fifth bedroom.
As well as the downstairs playroom, there are two living rooms, a spacious kitchen/dining room, and under stairs storage. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, the main bathroom, and access to a sizeable attic, which has potential for conversion.
There is a mature rear garden of 20 metres depth to the rear of the property, and a large, paved driveway to the front, allowing access for four cars comfortably. The AMV is €425,000, and there are open viewings on Wednesday and Saturday from 2pm to 3pm.
The second Newcastle property is to the rear of 17 Newcastle Park, and is a two-bedroom ‘granny flat’ which also features a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. 17 A Newcastle Park has a partially floor attic for storage, a phone line installed and a wired alarm and all furniture and curtains are included in the sale.
It has a separate, private front garden and a sizeable rear yard, and the AMV is €100,000, with open viewings also available on Wednesday and Saturday from 2pm to 3pm. The two properties are for sale in separate lots, but there is an option to purchase them in a combined lot.
The third Newcastle property is 2 University Park, a 5-bed semi-detached property located across the road from UHG, only 5 minutes from NUIG and within walking distance of the city centre and all amenities.
The property is presented in very good condition and enjoys off street parking to the front and a good-sized garden with shed to the rear. University Park is a cul-de-sac made up of a small number of large semi-detached houses that are mainly owner occupied.
This property is being offered fully furnished, and the AMV is €390,000, with open viewings on Wednesday and Saturday from 2pm to 3pm.
The fourth property is a four-bedroom detached house in Fairlands Park. 22 Sylvan Avenue is in the region of 130sqm, and while in need of modernisation, it is presented in good condition overlooking the large green area.
There is off-street parking at the front and a garden of approximately 20 metres in depth. The house is in close proximity to NUI Galway and UHG, and has an AMV of €340,000. There are open viewings on Wednesday and Saturday from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
