7 NEW ESB SUBSTATIONS PLANNED FOR CITY SITE

Plans have been drawn up to build 7 new ESB substations on one site in the city.

Padraic Rhatigan and Walter King have lodged plans to build the substations and associated Meter Switch Rooms at the Crown Square Development site on the Monivea Road.

The seven substations will be situated near the junction of Joyces Road and Old Monivea Road.

City planners will decide on the application by mid-November.
