7.5 MILLION ANNOUNCED FOR CLINICAL RESEARCH FACILITY AT UHG

7.5 million euro in funding has been secured for the new Clinical Research Facility on the grounds of University Hospital Galway.

Minister for Health Mary Harney made the funding announcement in Galway this afternoon.

The Clinical Research building, which is a joint venture between Galway University Hospitals and NUIG, has already got the go-ahead from city planners.

The purpose of the facility will provide access to cutting-edge clinical trials and access to new therapies for patients in the West.
