7.2M FUND FOR GALWAY MEDICAL RESEARCH

Galway lecturers have been granted over seven million euro to fight eye disease and prevent organ transplant rejections.

Ireland’s leading research sponsor, The Science Foundation Ireland, granted the funding to two professors and two doctors based at NUI Galway.

It means they can employ teams of medical scientists for the next four years.
