6 YEAR OLD CRAUGHWELL BOY CRITICAL BUT STABLE FOLLOWING CLARE CAR CRASH

A six-year-old boy living in Craughwell remains in a critical but stable condition at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin after he was injured in a two car crash in Clare yesterday.

The crash happened on the Bellharbour Road about a mile outside Ballyvaughan just after nine o’ clock yesterday morning.

The boy and his mother had to be cut from the wreckage of one of the cars involved.

The boy was brought to University Hospital Galway but has since been transferred to Beaumount Hospital where a spokesperson has confirmed he is critical but stable.

The boy’s mother also sustained serious injuries in the collision but is now in a stable condition at University Hospital Galway.
