57 NAMA PROPERTIES TRANSFERRED TO CITY

Almost 60 NAMA properties across the city will be made available as social housing this year.

The 57 properties held by the national asset management agency are part of two thousand nationwide that have been identified for social housing.

This is positive news for Galway as over 4,500 people are on the city’s waiting list, with one in four applicants waiting over 5 years to be housed.

Galway city council will lease the properties from NAMA at a reduced rate for up to 10 or 15 years.
